James is a part qualified patent attorney. He works in both our Oxford and London offices and handles drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications across the chemical field, including work at the interface of chemistry and biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, and polymer chemistry.

James also has experience in advising clients regarding Freedom to Operate issues and IP-related aspects of Due Diligence exercises.

James joined J A Kemp in 2013 following a period of post-doctoral research in the fields of bioinorganic electrochemistry and single-molecule electrical sensing of biological analytes.
