With around 100 science and technology graduates in the firm, including 50 PhDs, no area of science or technology is outside our scope. The team of professionals who advise our clients on trade mark and design matters have backgrounds in major international law firms and hold qualifications as Chartered UK Trade Mark Attorneys, Solicitors and European Trade Mark Professional Representatives. Dedicated to this specialist area of intellectual property protection, the team has the expertise and resources to protect trade marks and designs in any market worldwide.

What We Do

Our European and UK Patent Attorneys draft, file and prosecute patent applications in Europe and worldwide. J A Kemp has a global reputation for its expertise in handling patent oppositions and appeals before the European Patent Office. We also obtain patent protection in national markets, including the UK. We add value to our clients’ business by advising on patent strategy and the management of patent portfolios in individual countries, regionally or worldwide.

Our trade mark specialists advise on trade mark selection and strategy. J A Kemp is known for its track record of success in filing, defending and opposing trade mark applications in Europe and throughout the world. We are adept both at securing trade mark protection in national markets and at managing filing and prosecution programmes on a regional or global scale.

We handle all aspects of design protection within Europe and worldwide.

We provide expert litigation support services for intellectual property matters before the European and UK authorities and in the relevant courts and appeal courts.
