Alice joined J A Kemp in 2021 as a trainee patent attorney and is based in the firm’s London office.
Before joining the firm, Alice studied for her MChem degree at Durham University, where she gained knowledge in a wide range of areas including organic, inorganic, physical, polymer, pharmaceutical and biological chemistry. Her final year research project involved the synthesis of a series of macrocyclic lanthanide complexes, and the investigation of their reactivity and spectroscopic properties in order to assess their potential for conjugation to proteins, with a view to their use in biochemical analysis.
Alice then went on to obtain a MSc in Management of Intellectual Property at Queen Mary, University of London, where she was awarded the Herchel Smith Scholarship and the Management of Intellectual Property Law Prize.
