J A Kemp is pleased to announce the promotion of two attorneys to Partner on 6 April 2025.
James Egleton is a chemistry specialist based in our London office. His work spans medicinal chemistry, synthetic organic chemistry, pharmacology, cell biology, photochemistry and computational chemistry, which allows him to work effectively at the interface between chemistry and biology. He joined J A Kemp in 2015 after completing a DPhil at Oxford University through a prestigious Oxford Cancer Research Centre prize studentship.
Emily Howard is a European and UK patent attorney with expertise in a range of biological areas, including cancer biology, vaccines, induced pluripotent stem cells, regenerative medicine and molecular biology. Emily studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge. Her studies focused on pathology, in particular microbiology and cancer biology, where she was awarded the Project Prize in cellular and genetic pathology. She went on to complete a PhD in pathology at the University of Cambridge before joining J A Kemp in 2011.
J A Kemp continues to invest in the development of its attorneys through comprehensive training and mentorship programs. With over 30 trainee and part-qualified patent attorneys currently at the firm and a new intake joining in the autumn, the firm ensures a strong pipeline of talent to serve clients across diverse technical fields.
