George graduated with an MChem in Chemistry from the University of Oxford in 2013. His final-year research focused on improving methods of nucleophilic fluorination by modulating the reactivity of fluoride complexes through hydrogen bonding. Prior to entering the profession, George spent four years as a high school science teacher, training via the Teach First scheme in East Yorkshire before becoming Head of Chemistry in a comprehensive school in West London.
George’s work includes the drafting, filing and prosecution of patents in all areas of chemistry. He has particular experience in industrial chemistry, including low Global Warming Potential fluorocarbons, refrigerants, foam-blowing agents, propellants, polymers and solvents.
George joined J A Kemp in 2019 as a part-qualified patent attorney and works in the firm’s London Office.
