2013 IP Seminar in Japan

Partner Geoff Woods spoke on the topic of European Patent Practice at the 2013 IP Seminar organised by Yokohama City, Japan. The seminar took place on 2 July 2013 at the Yokohama Media Business Center. Geoff's talk focussed in particular on the patentability at the European Patent Office of computer-implemented inventions and of medical use inventions, on the use of functional features in claims of European patent applications and on recent developments towards the European Union Unitary Patent. It was attended by about 70 delegates from companies and academic institutions in Yokohama and the surrounding area.
