IP To IPO – The Role of IP in Successful Fund Raising, Exits, and Negotiations

The keynote speaker, Ady Moores, is the CEO of P2i, one of Oxford’s most successful VC backed start up companies, established 16 years ago. Today it is the largest supplier of waterproof coating treatments to the global mobile phone industry. It also supplies coating protection solutions to other industries which require sensitive electronic parts to be protected.  At its global technology centre and head office on the Milton Park site near Abingdon it employs 90 people, as well as staff in offices in China, Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam and USA.  The Company is currently going through a rapid growth phase with the launch of two new products.  An impressive success story which we are glad to promote. Ady will share hard hitting case studies from their IP journey, including insights from their constantly evolving approach to trade secrets and patent filings worldwide (actively defending in courts around the world, including China). The talk will also underline why IP protection has been so important in helping to maintain the company’s competitive position and how it sustains and enhances the company’s value (investment valuation).
