The UK Moves a Step Closer to Ratifying the UPC (Unified Patent Court) Agreement

On 8 February the Privy Council approved the draft Unified Patent Court (Immunities and Privileges) Order 2017. Both Houses of the UK Parliament had already approved the draft in December.

As the next step, the Order is expected to be put forward as a formal motion in the UK Parliament. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office must then ratify the Order for it to take effect.
