UPC Member States
There are 24 EU Member States that have signed the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court (UPCA).
Currently, the UPCA is in force in the 17 States that have ratified the UPCA.

The UPCA will come into force in Romania on 1 September 2024, following ratification on 31 May 2024, taking that number to 18.
The remaining six EU Member States that have signed but not yet ratified the UPCA may ratify it at any time.
