You may find that your patent is challenged by another party, or that you yourself need to oppose a competitor's patent, possibly joining forces with other parties to do so. We are involved in many multi-party opposition cases, either attacking or defending a patent.

Decisions of the Opposition Division are frequently subject to appeal. You may also sometimes find that your application is initially rejected by the European Patent Office and you need to go through the appeal process at that stage.
