Eleanor Hetherton

Eleanor joined J A Kemp in 2024 as a trainee patent attorney and is based in the firm’s London office.

Eleanor studied for a Master of Chemistry degree at the University of Oxford, obtaining a first class degree. She was awarded the Casberd scholarship during her time at Oxford.

During her fourth year, she undertook a research project focussing on bio-physical chemistry. The aim of the project was to employ microfluidic techniques to capture target DNA and subsequently sequence it. This has a direct application in HIV vaccine development.
