Ethan McHugo
Ethan joined J A Kemp in 2024 as a trainee patent attorney and is based in the firm’s London office. Before joining the firm, Ethan studied Physics at the University of Warwick.
During his time at the University of Warwick, Ethan conducted research on the structure of Calcium Phosphate Bioactive glasses. The main focus of this project was to explore the effect that doping the material with Cu+/2+ ions had on the structure of the Bioactive glass and how these ions are incorporated into this structure. In this work, Ethan utilised a range of techniques such as MAS NMR, EPR and Raman Spectroscopy.
While at Warwick, Ethan also conducted a research project in conjunction with the University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire. The project focused on the comparison of two different algorithms used in the patient treatment system by the hospital for calculating radiotherapy doses.
