Pip joined J A Kemp as a trainee patent attorney in 2019 and is based in the firm's London office.
Pip obtained a BA in Biological Natural Sciences from Cambridge University, and in her final year she specialised in developmental and disease biology. During her undergraduate studies she also completed a summer research project on phage therapy at Leicester University in the Department of Infection, Immunity and Inflammation.
Pip then did a PhD at the University of Sheffield, where she established the developing zebrafish respiratory vasculature as a molecular model for human respiratory vascular diseases. Her work provided her with practical experience of techniques such as CRISPR, fluorescent microscopy and computational processing and analysis. During her time as a student Pip also co-chaired her university’s Infection, Immunity and Cardiovascular Disease Student Society.
