Samuel Raynes
Sam is a Trainee Patent Attorney in our London office. Before joining the firm in 2022, Sam studied for his MChem degree at Durham University in which his final year research project involved the synthesis and characterisation of novel blue thermally activated delayed fluorescent compounds for use in organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays.
Following his undergraduate degree, Sam completed a PhD in Chemistry at Durham University. His PhD focused on the cascade conversion of bio-derived platform molecules over multifunctional zeolite materials, particularly the multi-step conversion of bioethanol to higher value products.
Sam also has experience in toxicology through his work at a regulatory body as a chemical risk assessor.
