GREENTECH CHALLENGE PARIS 2018

J A Kemp's Paris office is delighted to be the exclusive IP partner to the first Paris GREENTECH CHALLENGE.

GREENTECH CHALLENGE was launched in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2015 and this is the first time it will be held in France. Teams will be competing for up to €1million of investment. The results of the challenge have been improving year after year, with more than 70% of startups raising capital of around €500,000 within a year of participation.

From 12-14 November 2018, 12 pre-selected green tech startups will receive technical support and free advice from GREENTECH CHALLENGE’s partners, experts in PR and communications, intellectual property rights, marketing, accounting, management, law, soft-funding and management consulting. The 12 finalist startups have developed innovative solutions and proved both their environmental potential and business feasibility. During these three days, the startups will strengthen their ability to implement their solutions at larger scale and prepare for the final day of the event, when they will have the opportunity to pitch in front of investors.

At the end of the three-day growth-sprint the startups will attend the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center to pitch their business, in three minutes, to a panel of potential investors who are able to provide a capital injection ranging from €100,000 to €1,000,000.

Dominic ForsytheJimmy Nicholls and Graham Lewis, all partners in J A Kemp's Paris office, will be providing advice on how startups with limited time and money can make the most of their valuable intellectual property assets whilst overcoming the challenges of growing an innovation-led business.
