J A Kemp Associate Promotions 2024
J A Kemp has promoted three patent attorneys to Associate following successful completion of both their European and UK professional qualifications.
Tom Compton studied Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge, specialising in organic, medicinal, and biological chemistry. During his studies, he achieved a college scholarship and a Horne Prize for Physical Sciences. His master's project focused on the synthesis of new antibiotics using fragment-based drug discovery. Tom is based in the firm's London office.
Felix Laing studied at the University of Cambridge for a Master's in Chemical Engineering, gaining knowledge in various areas, including energy technology, process control, computational fluid dynamics, separation technology, bioprocessing and chemical product design. Felix is based in the firm's London office.
Josephine Pepper holds a first-class MBiochem in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford, where her thesis focused on molecular genetics. She works with a range of clients across the biotechnology space, with particular interest in microbiology, immunology and agri-tech. She recently moved from London to the firm's new Cambridge office.
J A Kemp is known for the quality of the training and support that we offer our trainees. We currently have 22 part-qualified and trainee patent attorneys at the firm, and eight more trainees will join in October 2024.
