Trade Mark Contentious Proceedings and Appeals

We have extensive experience of handling opposition, revocation and cancellation actions before the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) and European Union Trade Mark Office (EUIPO). We are also regularly asked to coordinate such actions outside of the competence of the UKIPO and EUIPO too. We are equally adept at handling the defence of any actions filed.

We conduct Appeal work before the UKIPO (to either the Appointed Person or High Court of England & Wales) and EUIPO (to the Boards of Appeal) based on absolute grounds for refusal in ex parte matters and from inter partes matters in contentious proceedings.

Subject to instructions, we are very comfortable appearing for our clients in contentious proceedings at hearings before the UKIPO or can coordinate such matters with barristers of the requisite level of call and experience.
