Joseph Snowden
Joseph joined J A Kemp in 2024 as a Trainee Patent Attorney and is based in the firm’s London office.
Joseph completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Cambridge, during which he was awarded the Staines Read Prize in Medicine and the Darwin Prize in Natural Sciences by Christ’s College. He was awarded a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology by the University of Leeds. His research was focused on the use of cryogenic electron microscopy to characterise the molecular structures of norovirus and a novel vaccine platform technology. Joseph has co-authored over 10 papers based on research carried out during his undergraduate and PhD degrees, and has presented his research at a national conference.
Prior to joining J A Kemp, Joseph spent two years working in Japan as a Coordinator for International Relations for the Kagoshima Prefectural Government. He is fluent in Japanese, and holds qualifications in both Japanese (JLPT N1) and Korean (TOPIK Level 4) languages.
