J A Kemp Partner Promotions 2024
J A Kemp has promoted five associates to the role of partner.
Feng Rao and Wilma Shi have accepted invitations to join the partnership as of 6 April 2024. David Gallagher, Chris O’Beirne and Imogen Parry are currently on maternity/paternity leave and have also accepted invitations to join the partnership at later dates.
Wilma joined J A Kemp as a trainee in 2014 and is a member of the firm's London Biotechnology and Life Sciences Group. She holds a PhD in pharmacology from the University of Cambridge. Chris is also based in London in the firm's Engineering and IT Group. He joined J A Kemp as a trainee in 2014, after a master's degree in engineering from the University of Cambridge, specialising in aeronautical engineering.
Feng and David are members of the firm's Cambridge Biotechnology and Life Sciences Group. Feng joined J A Kemp as a part-qualified trainee in 2018. Before joining the patent profession, Feng completed a PhD in biochemistry at the University of Cambridge. Dave joined in 2017 having worked elsewhere in private practice since 2015. Dave graduated from the University of Oxford in 2010 with a first-class degree in molecular and cellular biochemistry and, in 2014, was awarded a PhD in structural biology from the University of Cambridge.
Imogen is based in the Oxford office and is in the Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals Group. She joined J A Kemp as a trainee in 2015 following a DPhil in laser spectroscopy at the University of Oxford.
