UPC Litigation & IP Litigation Support
With more than 60 European patent attorneys with an accepted additional qualification allowing them to act as representatives before the Unified Patent Court (UPC), J A Kemp has the strength in depth to support clients in patent litigation at the UPC in any field of technology.
The European Patent Convention (EPC), as applied by the European Patent Office (EPO), is one of the main sources of law of the Unified Patent Court Agreement. The procedure of the Unified Patent Court is also expected, to a large extent to mirror the Opposition procedure at the EPO. European Patent Attorney UPC Representatives will thus have unique skills required for successful representation at the UPC. With one of the most highly and universally respected opposition practices in Europe, J A Kemp is well placed to help clients navigate the early days of the UPC as the new court develops its procedures and case law.
J A Kemp also provides support for contentious intellectual property matters in the Patent Court, the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court, the UK Intellectual Property Office, the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) and in national Courts around the world. The IP Litigation and Dispute Resolution Support Group combines in-depth knowledge of patents, trade marks and designs. The Group consists of qualified solicitors, patent and trade mark attorney litigators.
