Michal Dabrowka

Michal is a European and UK Patent Attorney. He joined J A Kemp as an Associate in 2023, having previously spent five years at another leading patent firm.

Michal has experience in handling patent applications in a variety of fields within the chemical space, but in particular in relation to fluorocarbons, fat compositions, foodstuffs, enzymes and pharmaceuticals. Michal’s particular expertise relates to drafting and prosecution of applications both before the European Patent Office and elsewhere and in advising clients on global prosecution strategies. He also has extensive experience in contentious work at the EPO, including conducting oral proceedings before the Opposition Divisions and Boards of Appeal.

Michal has a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Oxford. His research was focused on total synthesis of natural products and synthetic methodology. During his studies, he also completed internships at King’s College London and the Institute of Organic Chemistry in Warsaw.
