Sarah Gee
Sarah joined J A Kemp as a Trainee Patent Attorney in 2022 and is based in the firm’s London office.
Sarah completed a PhD in Immunology at King’s College London. Her PhD research involved the immune system of neonates, with a particular focus on T cells. Here, she investigated the control of neonatal T cell functionality using immunology and epigenetic techniques. Highlights of her doctorate included publishing a first author paper in Nature Immunology, and presenting her research at the UK’s premier immunology event, the British Society for Immunology Congress 2021. Sarah also holds an MSc degree in Immunology of Infectious Diseases from The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and a Molecular Biology undergraduate degree.
Sarah also has Pharmaceutical industry experience and completed a 2 year Research & Development Graduate Programme at AstraZeneca. Here, she published her work utilising CRISPR-Cas9 technology in T cells. She also worked on 3D bone marrow models, and various immunology-based assay development projects.
