Sarah joined J A Kemp as a trainee patent attorney in 2022 and is based in the firm’s London office.
Sarah obtained her BSc degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Sheffield in 2016. During her undergraduate degree, she became particularly interested in immunology and undertook a summer research project in this field. She then graduated with her MSc degree in Immunology of Infectious Diseases from The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine in 2017. Following her masters, Sarah worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 2 years by completing the Research & Development Graduate Programme at AstraZeneca.
Sarah then completed her PhD in Immunology at King’s College London. She focused on the control of T cell functionality in human neonates using cellular and epigenetic techniques. Highlights of her doctorate included publishing a first author paper in Nature Immunology, and presenting her research at the UK’s premier immunology event, the British Society for Immunology Congress 2021.
